Love your quilts brought back memories. We were stationed there for almost 6 yrs in the 1960's (hubby was on a ship and gone for 6 months +) each year. I was not into quilting at that time but did make my mumu's which had to wear to work on Fridays (Aloha Fridays) and made our square dance out fits also. Just love the bright materials from over there. Thanks for sharing your wonderful quiltingt.

I love the Hawaiian fabric. I collect shirts when I find them from the second hand store. Just haven't found a pattern I wan't to use.
    Any suggestions?

I have a friend that lives on Oahu. I've been to visit several times and love the Hawaiian fabrics and quilts. I've been to this store and loved it! http://www.hawaiifabricmart.com/

Here is one I did about a year ago. The colors are more vivid than they appear in the photo and it also chopped off part of the last border.

I do. I have a tub of fabrics that I'd like to make into a quilt. I bought several hawaiian shirts for $1/ each and want to find a few more while in the states this year. So, I love this thread! Thanks for asking!

Slowly gathering a collection of Hawaiian Shirts myself for quilting! Can't wait to make that imaginary quilt (designing in my head) It will be bright and vibrant!

Might need to give in and start buying fabrics for it. On the other hand, I have at least 3 projects on the go (1 must be done for April 13th) and 4 others that are already calling me....

Sew little time and sew much to sew
