This is the second time I have done this. I make lots of scrappy quilts. I did all my cutting and when i was sewing, figured out that I had cut enough for 2, yes 2, or 3 quilts. Guess I got alot of cutting out of the way. Anyone else done this????? lol

Most of the time it is on purpose if I am doing scrappy string quilts. Then I can sew and sew and then put together at the same time and have sveral quilts. Cutting is the worse part of quilting to me so when I do it, I usually cut several things out at a time. So you are not alone. LOL

I once made so many flying geese, I had enough for 3 quilts. I thought I needed 78 for each side of the quilt, all 4 borders. I actually needed 78" worth and they were 2" x 4". So I had twice as many as I needed!

I always cut extra, I know how to make multiple mistakes so I need the extra.

Cutting messes up my arm, so to have extra would be a real treat.

Me, too. I cut until I get tired, sew, cut, sew, figure out how many more I need and cut the last few. I also tend to not quite have enough fabric so most of my quilts have a little extra creativity included at no extra charge!

No wonder my hair started graying faster after I started quilting.
