Why do we feel as sewers/quilters we MUST do every day. I believe our bodies are telling us time to slow down and recharge your body and soul....I think we sew/quilt a lot during the winter due to the weather....however it is spring and time for rebirth, the flowers are blooming, baby birds are being born, the butterflies are dancing in the air. Be still and enjoy life.... When the batteries are fully charged a bell will go off and we will be back at it.

i am so glad to read that a lot of us are not in the groove to sew right now. I thought maybe I was suffering from depression. I love to sew but just can't seem to do it.

I have also been in a quilting slump. I just can't seem to get motivated. My sewing room is a mess. Not even a brand new Brother sewing machine (still in the box!!!) is tweaking my interest. I have been doing a lot of gardening and I'm just about finished with that. I'm hoping to get some things done this weekend.

I'm not lazy yet but then I'm no where near my sewing room. I need to go shopping so that I can have something to do while I'm visiting in Levittown Pa.

I don't know what it is for you, but for me as I just graduated high school, I know the senioritis bug hasn't left yet. Which isn't so great as I have a bunch of christmas presents to work on and my machine broke and my mom won't fix it as she doesn't use it anymore. Now everything is getting hand pieced, good thing I chose patterns with big blocks!

I don't have any excuse - Maybe it is a "dry spell"? I am working on a small quilt for my 35th HS reunion. All I have to do is figure out a good quilting pattern for the outside border and then the binding.

I did mess up the 2nd one I started though, I embroidered the center "AFTER" I put it together and it is totally off center.

The top lettering goes past the center square, ughhh. Can I cut/rip out the center and resew another just over the seam allowance like a reverse applique?

    Thanks for any encouragement
