I don't take requests - of course I dont' have children or grandchildren, so would be pretty nervy for anyone to actually ask me!

I tend to make a pattern more than once if it is a pattern I really like. I don't do well making the same pattern right after another though. That really bores me. I recently made two sets of identical quilts for twin beds. Drove me crazy by the time I finished.

Generally though, if I make a pattern I like, I can see it indifferent fabric and want to give it a try.

For the most part I only do a pattern one time unless I find some fabric that I love and it would only work in a pattern that I've already done, and that has only happened once. This year I'm going against that rule and making 5 Christmas table toppers for my children and grandchildren. They are all using the same pattern but different fabric to match the recipients likes. They only take about 4 hours start to finish so that is due able in a couple days.

I've probably done 20 since last fall------------personal sized with just the WOF ragged out. But I don't get bored with them as each set of fabrics is so different from the last

I don't like to make a quilt more than once. I've got three 3 inch binders full of patterns that I want to try to do.

Yes, I make multiples of the same pattern. After I'm done, I wonder what it would look like if I switched the lights for the darks, or rotated the block, or made the block smaller etc, etc, etc. Playing with it in EQ7 is not the same, even though that would make way more sense.
By the way, why would you feel guilty? There's nothing wrong with this!

I often make the same quilt pattern more than once. I do use different fabrics. I tell people that if they want me to make a quilt, they have to help me. No one has taken me up on my offer.

If I ever made 12 of the same pattern I'd feel your pain! I'd say it's time for you to say that enough is enough with a smile.
