Default Anyone Else Making the Rose Twirls?

After watching the video, I began gathering different shades of solids. For the 4 squares that are 6.5", I chose 1 printed accent piece and 3 coordinated solids-dark, medium, light. Playing with so many colors has been enjoyable. I would love to hear from others for their ideas!

It makes a pretty block. Do you quilt through it? Maybe just quilt around the very centre and then around the square edge? I do not plan on making it but post a picture when you get it done!
p.s. they would make lovely pot holder/ hot pads.

I've made it, such a fun block to make. I've posted the photo several times. Enjoy the process. It's an awesome way to get thru the stash.

This is new to me! Looks beautiful. I'd like to try making a really large block, finishing it as a circle, and using it as a table topper. And then making little ones as round mug rugs.

    Thanks for posting this.

They are pretty, but it looks like there's as much fabric wasted as is used.

I have learned a lot as I progress. I clip each curve and press each piece again before applying. Also, I trim after each layer. There is waste. The first cut corner only uses one of the four pieces for the center, so I've started saving them--Will try something? in the border? Snapped some pics this morning.

So true Dunster, but that is what I loved. I can easily toss odd scraps. I only used my stash, a great stash buster.
