3 3/8" is such an odd measurement. What does the finished block look like? what did your pattern state as to finished size of block?

I'm not quite following the problem other than they are different measurements. Is there one measurement that is consistent all around? Did you trim at all? What is the pattern you are using? or by now, maybe you have it figured out? LOL

Yes, I have done that, more than once, as get I in a hurry to see the blocks sewn together. I really need to learn to make a sample block first. Or to always take a scant 1/4 inch seam.

Yes, I've done that....too many times. Man, I hate that! Patience and perseverance pays off.

Of course, whatever is possible to do wrong, or whatever, I have done it! Most of my mistakes are at night; when I am tired, ect.

It will all work out, eventually!

We have all done this. My latest boo-boo was sewing the strips together upside down when making a queen sized quilt. I had to rip the rows apart and restitch. The time was one thing, but over handling caused more fraying that I have to re-trim all over the quilt is far more annoying. I wish you plenty of patience fixing your quilt......Jane

I have done that. Instead of using the sewn pieces for THAT project, I put them aside for a different project and sewed new pieces correctly for the original design.

I've done things like that and I get so mad at myself. Glad you could come up with a solution.
