Default Anyone ever do this

I cut out pieces for 24 blocks. I have everything more or less sewed together. I was working on 1 block. Sewing what i had done. I realized it wasn't going to work together. The pieces i cut out were 3 3/8'' finished width, etc. With the different shape's I cut out, the length's will vary. Anyhow, everything I have sewed together, I will have to cut to everything down to 3 1/4'' width. I hope what I wrote, will be understandable

Yes, the other day I sewed a whole stack wrong. Had to rip out the seams, turn my top piece around and resew the whole bunch of them. I happens. Keep going.

Yes, I've had that happen. I try to remember to make a sample block before cutting out all the pieces. Sometimes I do get carried away though and just cut like crazy! No matter what, I figure out a way to make it work. Don't mind the challenge actually.

Yes, I have done this. I did it with a fence rail and had a heck of a time trying to recut it. If I am making a block for the first time I always make a sample block and measure it every step of the way to see if I have to adjust my 1/4" seam a bit. I generally find that a scant 1/4" seam works better because it accounts for the fold of the fabric.

Of course we have all been there. When tiny errors are multiplied they really do get out of hand! The remedy is the old adage to measure twice, cut once and check it again!
