Default Anyone ever use scapbooking pens instead of Pigma pens?

Would these permanent acid free pens work on a fabric label?? and survive washing??

I don't know the answer ... though why not try it on a sample, and wash it a few times and see what happens?

I use Sharpie Pens ... you write on the fabric, and heat set it with your iron.
I made some Mug Rugs to test it ... and have washed these several times and they still look clear and bright.

You mean ZigWriters that are acid free and archival for cotton rag paper? Plus they don't bleed and are permanent? I haven't used a Pigma pen since I discovered the ZigWriters.

I've only used Pigmas & have NOT been impressed! They fade... to nothing. Some of my older quilts have labels sewn on the back... & after washings, they are blank. Thank you, Pigma.

I often use the gelly roll pens which come in so many colors. They are permanent.

Staples would be one place .... ask for Gel Pens
Although, I do not know about their use on fabric.

As with all new methods ... be sure you do your own experimentation and trials to test and discover how different products may work (or not) according to your applications, fabrics, laundering, etc.
