I have some and can't wait to use it, but it's so high loft. Does anyone have any experience, and tips for using it?

    TIA!

The inmates use it for their personal quilting projects. I am inpressed with it as it's folded, not rolled and opens out very nicely, not all wavy and stretched out like the rolled batts are.

They make several different lofts. The inmates usually get Request Loft - I think. It's the thinnest batt.

They use this because they hand quilt everything.

Quilter's Dream is one of my favorite battings. They have several lofts - these descriptions are from their website (for their cotton batting):

    * Request: Natural or White. Excellent for hand and machine quilting.
    * Select: Natural or White. Midloft for hand and machine quilting. Excellent for crafts.
    * Deluxe: Natural or White. High loft. Machine quilts beautifully. Excellent for crafts.
    * Supreme: Natural or White. Thickest cotton batt of all. Excellent for kitchen crafts & comforters.

I have not used the Supreme. My favorite for the longarm is the Select. I don't know what you're using it for but I'm sure you wouldn't want to be hand quilting this loft!

I do have the supreme. I'm not hand quilting. I plan on machine quilting, unless there's an overwhelming response here that it's not really possible, in which case I'll tie the quilt. I was just wondering if anyone has used it. Thinner batting seems to be more popular, but I prefer mine thick.

I solely use Quilters Dream and choose which loft will best suit any given project I do. Personally I don't think you could ever go wrong with any loft they provide and no I have no interest in the product only a great love of the exceptional quality they provide.
