Default Anyone have the Handiquilter Sweet Sixteen?

I have waited so long for this machine!
It makes a clatter/clanking sound. Is this normal for this machine.
No response from dealer but it's only been a couple of days.
He installed and set it up Thurs. afternoon.

Don't have one, but found these videos that show someone sewing on one. Maybe you can compare to your machine:

Above link doesn't start the actual sewing until about 3 minutes in.

Prism99, thanks for the links. Doesn't sound like mine. It clatters. I don't want to keep trying for fear of doing damage. If the dealer doesn't call me back Mon. I will contact Handiquilter. I don't think they want a bad rep.

I have one and she runs well. Did you take out the bobbin and reset it? Is the needle properly in place? Does the machine sit flat in the table? I honestly can't think why it would make a clanking sound. I am still in the learning stage and am often reminded of what it was like to learn to drive a stick-shift. Hope you get an answer soon.

Edit: I just realized that there are built-in diagnostics. Have you checked them all?

did it (clatter/clank) when the dealer set it up? something is not set correct-
you don't have to wait till monday to call handi-quilter-they have a wonderful service/tech support team and have helped me long-distance many times over the years with tension issues and all kinds of technical issues. it is probably something fairly simple.

No I didn't check the bobbin. I didn't change anything but maybe something came loose, will check that and diagnostics. I will do that before I contact Handiquilter. Thanks
