These are the pictures of the fix for the Insira shelf. You have to look very close to see the aluminum bar. I included a picture of the end of the bar so you can see the type of bar used. I drilled holes through the bar and used the original brace as the nuts. You could use 1/4x20 nuts inplace of the threaded 2 hole brace. You could add bolts at the end of the bar if you feel they are needed. Bar is 1/8"x1"x48".

I have the inspira with the pfaff grandquilter on it and my husband took a 2 foot piece of dowelling that is the size of the space and drilled holes through the metal into the dowelling and screwed it together and it works great.

Ditter, have you used the frame yet? If you have, what do you think about it?

This is so helpful! I know this is from an old post, but I am a newbie at quilting on a frame. Just purchased the Viking Mega quilter and Inspira frame from a lady in Tennessee. After taking apart and moving, it sewed perfectly the first time with no adjustments! My only disappointment was the bowed panto shelf. This is such an easy fix, can't wait to try this. I'm still practicing, anxious to do an actual quilt top now. Thank you!!!
