Anyone have this machine? what is you like or don't like? Do you consider it a workhorse?

I am considering buying used to get more machine for my $$. I love my Elna Quilters Dream and if I could find I would to buy another one. Mine is in for cleaning and the needle is out of line so that needs to be fixed. I probably have 100000 miles on it, LOL. I am afraid it will give up on me and I won't have a backup.

    Thanks for any input.

I have a Pfaff expression 2.0. I love it. I got it for Christmas last year. I have been sewing for 45 years, but I have only been quilting for about a year. I love my machine. I have made ..let me think....12 quilts with it so far. I think that would make it a work horse?? Yes, I know it isn't the exact model you asked about, but maybe it is a cousin??

I was just glancing at the Pfaff 2.0 online, do you know roughly how much they cost?

I do all my piecework on a Quilters Expression 2044 and love it. A few months ago I also purchased the Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0 and I'm absolutely wild about it! It's a dream for free motion work. I did have a Janome 6500 for years but as soon as I saw the Pfaff wide throat, I wanted it. I prefer the Pfaff stitch library and I love the IDT.

Mine was $1,000 on sale. I think list price is $1500. I love mine. Got it last Feb. It has I think an 11 inch throat and I quilted a King size no problem.

I have a Pfaff 2046 and absolutely love it for regular sewing/quilting. It has been a true workhorse. This is the machine I take to classes and retreats. I love the triple stitch.
I use this machine for FMQ on my smaller projects and love the results.

I did get an extra bobbin case for doing bobbin work as i didn't want to mess with my 'regular' bobbin case. I didn't buy the gold colored one, just another plain bobbin case and put it in a marked small baggie, and a 1/4" guide with flange foot. Pfaff feet are affordable. I waited til there was a sale on the feet and have gradually bought what all I wanted.

Hope this helps. PM if you want to ask more.

I just bought one in October of this year. The retail price was $1599 but the store had a sale for 39% of the retail price. I haven't quilted anything too large yet but what I have done so far I love. Have several to quilt after Christmas.

Thank you all for the input, I did make an offer, but it was already sold.
For the amount of sewing I do, I may go ahead and look to buy new. Thinking about Babylock or Janome.
