I had a horrendous virus over Christmas "Malware" and it took my husband and some Geek in Australia 3 days to get rid of it. Its probably the direction you should look

Oh Yes, I have that same problem too and I'm not in NH. I ran all the spyware, malware, you name it to try to get rid of it and no way. I'm sure I got it trying to open a site suggested as it's only on this board that I have that problem. I have to shut down my computer with ctrl/alt/del as it's the only way out and restart again, it's very frustrating.......
If someone has the solution, please pass the word around.
    Thanks

[quote=ghostriderThis is the only site that it happens. Could it be a bug in the QB system??[/quote]

it probably isn't the QB, but a very nasty adware virus downloaded after clickin on one of the random/rotating ads.

if it was the QB, we'd all be having the problem.

but since more than one member is having the same problem, i've asked Admin if it's possible to trace the source and recommend a solution.

Am also having the problem but it happens to me on random sites - I believe I picked it up in FaceBook by clicking on an interesting ad. Hope someone can come up with a fix for this as it's certainly annoying. Also - a new happening is that different words are now underlined in green just asking to be clicked on and when I do I am whisked away to a site called GameVance. Has to be malware!!!

There was news out from Microsoft that there is a virus/trojan out there that is making some websites go crazy. There is a fix on the Microsoft website. If you have your security features set up to update everyday or various times during the day you wouldn't necessarily have to do this fix. It's some bug getting into certain websites and causing them to go bonkers. Sorry I am not as computer literate as some people. Maybe if they've read this they can explain it better. But once it gets in from where ever it can create problems and you wouldn't know exactly where your computer got the problem especially if you click on numerous links to other websites.

I haven't had any problems with this website and I have IE, Norton everything (sorry can't remember the exact name) and malwarebytes checking all the time and have no problems anywhere.

You just need to make sure your computer is set up to constantly check for antivirus, spyware, malware, etc. and you shouldn't have any problems.

Not that, but I have noticed when I go on QB, it is like someone has gone on before me and looked at the different topics--as the topics come up red, like when I look at them. That is creepy??!!

Thanks, Patrice. That's very much appreciated.

I never click on any of the ads floating around here, don't click on any links provided by members unless I am SURE about them ahead of time, have superior security and blocking software as this is my business computer, all systems are scanned daily and nothing has been found. It's quite a ponderment!

Is this happening to anyone else?
Yes I was having a terrible time with it & nobody else understood. Thought I was just gripping about the site trying to make a little extra money. When my computer kept getting this virus for Antivirus security I took to my computer doc & they deloaded a really tough malware blocker & now it has stopped. Best $25.00 I ever spent. In this past week that virus has tried to show up & my super malware kicked it out before it could make a stay. I know it is a pain.
