Default Anyone here have a Bernina 880?

Hi! Does anyone here have a Bernina 880? I bought one not long ago, and have to say, I'm pretty intimidated by it! Looking for friends to communicate with - ask questions of - either through the boards or by pm.

Question - how do you store all of your machine feet? The box that came with it, while handy, is not big enough for the feet that I have (got a few for birthday/Christmas). Always looking for tips!

    Thanks!

I've had 2 Berninas and always store my feet in those little plastic boxes you can buy at Sears Hardware or Home Depot. They work great and even have adjustable dividers. I don't have an 880 so I can't help you with that. If you have a Bernina store near you, they usually have lots of good clubs and groups that you could meet other 880 owners.

I find Youtube a very valuable resource to find out how to do so many things. No matter what I'm stumped on I can always get answers there.

That's a good idea. I'm getting to where I'm in that league now. So far my vintage machines use a lot of the same feet, but you never knoew.

I'm guessing that the 880 has the same "Barbie closet" that the 820 does?

I have never used it, and like the others have a plastic divider case.
Also with the movable dividers to allow for off shapes/sizes, and marked as to which machine (three).

Right now, I have enough extra spaces that I keep my sewing machine needle stash in there too.
That'll only be until more feet are added and then they will move to their own box.

I use a plastic two sided thread case, the compartments are deep and wide. I had the page in the manual of the pictures of the feet blown up and copied. I cut out the picture of the foot along with the name and put that in each compartment with the foot. I forget what some of them are and what they do.

These storage boxes work well...a.k.a. tackle boxes.

If you have just a few feet then a pill organizer might be better.

I don't have the machine that you mentioned however I do have a lot of machines and I try to keep all the feet and other items separate so not to run into any problems. I also use a clear box that I have labeled with the name of the machine.

Yes, I have a Bernina 880. Absolutely love the machine. Just remember this machine does not multi-task. Feel free to contact me if I can answer any questions for you.
