I love wool applique. I did a 12 month wool applique quilt that I use as a bed runner. I like to add wool applique to wall hangings or table toppers. I buy used wool clothes and felt them. For different colors I over dye.
Roxannebcb, your work is beautiful. I have Sue Spargo's Folk Art Dreams. I made a friend a table topper using her blocks. It turned out beautiful.

roxannebcb...where in Oregon? I grew up in Coos Bay...but live in Mississippi now....love and miss Oregon.

I live in Lake Oswego just outside of Portland, OR. It is beautiful here - but no jobs. Glad we are retired. Thinking of moving to the coast.

would love to retire in Oregon...but the kids' roots(and Grandbabies) are here...so I visit once in awhile...have you been to Sisters? My sister-in-law(inColorado) are talking about going.

Oh yes - we are also considering moving there. The Sisters Quilt show is great. I just checked out the classes and they are all full pretty much.

Beautiful !!... I am just starting to do some hand work with wool. Making candle mats now. I am also learing rug hooking.

I do - my mother got the sample book from Dad's store where he ordered clothing - it already had the wool cut into squares and she backed it with flannel.

I love Wild Thymes wool. One time a couple of years ago before wool became so popular I won an auction on ebay for a kit by Wild thymes that they actually still had on their website for about 300.00. I got it for 9.99. I am still using all the wools from it for my own projects. It was enough different colors to keep me happy for a long long time. What a find that was!

You are lucky her wool has a beautiful hand &sews like butter.
