Check out the tutorial that Alikat did yesterday on sewing curved seams. Put "curved seams" in the search bar and it is the second one. She explained them very well.

These are all so sweet. Is there a pattern to follow for the 3d effect pinwheel. I have two grand babies due in Feb, within days of each other. I'm hoping one of them is a girl! Also on a similar note, can anyone give me the rough dimensions of a quilt for prem babies? Sadly my first grand daughter was stillborn in 2011 and I would like to make these tiny quilts to donate to the local maternity hospital. I did read somewhere, I think it was on here, about these being donated especially for such babies. I thought it was a lovely idea and I think it might save a parent or grandparent from the unenviable task of going to baby shops which are such happy places to buy a little blanket and tiny garments for a baby that isn't coming home.
