I love these quilts. They are all so beautiful. I also love this forum. I always get such good information. Now I am going to start analyzing what I want to do with my fabric. I think I need to buy some more light colored fabric, or it will bee too dark, like several of you have mentioned.

    Thank you all.

I made this rail fence quilt last year to practice piecing. The varigated material has mostly light and dark purple with a little yellow and red.

I love everyone's quilts! I have made several purple because my older daughter loves purple. My favorite combination is purple with green and pink with some white or cream thrown in.

I LOVE purple in my quilts. Here's my log cabin with purples (and obligatory quilt inspector).

I made 3 of this pattern in different sized blocks. Pattern was in an old Quilters Newsletter Magazine and was called Radiant Nine Patch
I've been making quilts since the 70s; every quilt I made back then, no matter what my intent, turned into a mainly purple scrap quilt, pale to deep purples.
    Good luck

This is what I came up with in EQ5. I call it Sue's Purple Passion. I am making it for my sister.

I have made one. I call it my purple and green quilt. I used as Asian fabric which contained purple, black, mauve, and pink with a green Michelle Miller fabric called Fairy Frost. You may view a picture of it at http://community.webshots.com/user/barbara4811 It is in the Album "Ozark Empire Fair quilts"
