Great job on your Hobo quilt blocks.

I bought the book, and was so disappointed in it, tracked down the author and sent an email to her. No response,of course. She left out Britt, Iowa out of her book...the hobo capital of the midwest in the hobo days that still celebrates hobo days every year. (Britt,Iowa, has an delightful internet page.) I was so amazed that one who got published would not do her homework. Guess it can happen with deadlines and such.

I gave my book to a friend.

You are doing such a great job on the blocks - can't wait to see a picture of the finished quilt.

I'm working on the quilt with the engine, caboose and rail cars with the railroad track as a border. I've got 7 1/2 railroad car blocks done. I'm working on the engine right now. After reading the reviews on line, I know now why I'm having so much trouble with the rail car blocks not coming out with the right dimensions. I've had to remeasure just about every piece I've cut for that.

I'm making it for my son who is an engineer for the BNSF and on the front of the engine, I put the old Santa Fe emblem on it.
