Please tell me what you think of this machine. A friend has one for sell
and she is not sure of the age and oringal price. I would like to know if
this machine can hold up to lots of sewing.

I don't own one but if you google it there seems to be quite a few mentions in sewing forums and whatnot.

I have the tiptronic 2042 and love it. I sew a lot! 3 or 4 queen size quilts a year plus a lot of garment sewing.

i would get the serial number from the machine and call the company. i would at least want to know how old it is. then ask a repair man for his opinion. can you get parts? does it have a manual?

I have had the 1151 Tipmatic for years and years and years and it is wonderful. Only thing it doesn't have is the needle up/down feature but it came automatically with the walking foot attached. It is a real "workhorse".....Judy

I have owned a Tiptronic 6270 since 1998. I have made a huge number of quilts on it. It is my back up machine now but I second the phrase "workhorse". It has been a truly wonderful machine.
