    Default Anyone remember this post?

I would like to find a post from a couple of weeks ago. I've had no luck at all. I tried QB search, Google and, I've even tried Yahoo.

If I remember correctly, someone posted a question about buying a sewing machine for her grandaughter, I think (a child, anyway). The child has sewn something and was interested enough to warrant buying her a sewing machine. There were several comments posted. Everyone suggested their best ideas for the correct machine for this child. One particular post was about purchasing Janome sewing machines for the children's sewing classes she taught. I believe she said she now had 6 of them and had been very happy with that certain Janome model. I don't recall the model. I believe, but am not sure the machine had a speed setting.

Either I'm not remembering it correctly or not searching with the right terms. Does anyone remember it well enough to find the post?

    I'd really appreciate it.

I don't know how to post the thread here, but here is the info:

The title of the thread was: Sewing Machine for a Child. You are looking for post #4 from Abashobbes, dated 2/1/18. The machine she really likes is Janome 7330.

    Hope this helps!

Many Janomes have the speed control feature. I have a little Janome Jem that I take to classes and am also using to teach my 9 year old DGD to sew. I love that I can limit the speed for her because we found that concentrating on keeping the fabric in the right position was more important than concentrating on how much pressure you are putting on the 'gas pedal'.

The 3/4 Janome Hello Kitty is a Janome Jem. My granddaughter loves it. I have a regular Janome Jem and it's years old and still sews like new. I need to use it more as all Janome Jems have self lubricating gears. If not run for a long period of time it's like starting a car with no oil.

I taught my 3 granddaughters how to sew using my Featherweight. They concentrated on their hands and the machine and I worked the foot pedal. They each began when they were about 5 years old. The sewing machine is an incredible "bonding tool". (did I really say that? groan......)
