Congrats, EmbQuilt! That's an easy-peasy way to do it...just like a regular old string block!! I do mine on paper, too, not muslin. I just may have to get that starter kit...and add a spiderweb to my ongoing projects...strings & crumbs. Good for when you don't want to think too much but you want to sew. Prettiest spiderweb quilt I've seen was black, white & red. Also saw a b&w with yellow. Gotta start collecting black & white fabs...oh, darn!!

Just watched the tutorial. Pretty nice. Maybe will try it one day since my scraps are threatening to take over my sewing space.

I love their videos.... a lot of their templates/rulers are on sale now...so run and get them before they are gone.
I have wanted to order 2 templates and by the time I got to it they were sold out... they are back now, but waiting for a good daily deal to add them to my cart.

You can do this for free without buying anything. Go to Bonnie Hunter's web site and look at her spider quilt directions. I made my own template after reading this and was glad I did. I also used cheap tracing paper for the foundation. http://quiltville.com/spiderweb.shtml

have made this spider web quilt using Eleanor burns quilt in a day book. very easy and you don't need another ruler for this other than the usual.
