Mamagus, I have to say after trying many different ways of appliq. that my favorite is to fuse the cut out pattern of freezer paper to the fabric..iron it shiny side down...then cut 1/4" fabric around the appliq. shape...glue (I love Roxanne's glue)the fabric right on the freezer paper...pin in place. I love the blind hem stitch around the object for I don't want a 'too set' of a piece(or look). When I am almost done w/the stitching...I then remove the paper and finish the stitch around to close. Hope this gives another thought to the process...SKeat

I am finding LOTS of applique patterns but not too many pieced blocks.

    I'll keep looking!

I get a pain in my belly when I walk pass school supplies.... am I happy or sad? A mixture I believe.

I am packing now for a "not going back to school" trip. We fly from Newfoundland Friday morning and spend two days being tourists in Vancouver. A 7 day cruise to Alaska and back. Then 5 days on Vancouver Island before we come home.

THEN! I get to spend the next year organizing my life!!!! Including getting that sewing room done! I say "year" because I want to put a limit on it or it will drag on forever and I'll never get it done!
