I wonder if a dryer sheet would work? I know it does if you get the fusible on the bottom of the iron. You just lay the dryer sheet on ironing board and then iron...........off it comes.

Dray 965 I have not read all the responses to you question so someone may have already mentioned this. I just purchased some fabric from a thrift shop and a piece of fabric had a glue supstance on it (i did not notice it until it got all over my iron) any way I REMOVED ALL THE BOND STUFF by placing a piece of computer paper on the fabric ironing on the paper and removing the paper while it was hot. I did this over and over again and to my surprise ALL THE GLUE WAS REMOVED. O I also removed it all from my iron also. Good luck would like to know it you were able to save all your hard work. yippie

    Hi Dray965

If you heat the Heat and Bond for long enough, the glue usually melts away to nothing. I suggest you try replicating the problem on a scrap of fabric and then with a teflon sheet or some baking paper, heat the fabric and see if the glue disappears. If it works on your scrap, then it will work on your original piece. Good luck!

Would ice on the sticky stuff let you sort of break the glue off?

    Works for bubble gum!

What about "Goo Gone", try it on a scrap first, then you would have to wash it.?
