You might also check out the Bailey, very reasonably priced, family owned and operated, great customer service and machines. It's what I'll get when we have the room and the money, unfortunately, it'll probably be a few more years.

I have a APQS Freedom on a frame and absolutely love it. However, I tried the APQS George sit-down at a show last summer because my friend was looking at all the sit-down machines and wanted me to help her and wanted my advice. I personally did not like the APQS George because it did not have a stitch regulator on it and I am used to having that option. But--maybe they have added that feature by now--I don't know. Before I bought my long arm on a frame, I was actaully going to buy the HQ sit-down because I loved it--but then my husband told me I could go ahead and get the long arm on a frame. If the day ever comes that I sell my long arm on a frame, I will definitely turn right around and buy a sit-down machine. They have so much more throat space to work in rather than quilting on the regular sewing machine. If you do not care if you have the stitch regulator, I would definitely pursue the used George sit-down you found for a good price. APQS is a very good company with awesome customer service and good machines. I have had my APQS Freedom for over 2 years, have quilted almost 200 quilts on it, and have had no probems with it. Good luck. Keep us posted on what you decide.
