Directions didn't always tell you which way to press seams so mines a bit bumpy in spots. I'm not giving up tho, I'll try it again. But not today, I'm abit upset with myself so I'm going to go eat some donuts. Here's a partial pic (from my scanner). Comments are welcomed if anyone can tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.
I just love you guys to death. Thank you so much for your compliments and suggestions. I'm hoping ya'll can learn from my mistakes cuz I know I have. I took my block apart where the points didn't match and resewn it just alittle bit closer to the edge and that fixed it. The moral of this story is be consistant with your seams. I think next time I might baste it first to make sure it matches just to be on the safe side.

Debbie (and other dull pointed peeps) it's easier not to sew the point off if you have that piece on top. You can see as your coming to it if you're too close or too far away before it's too late. I know how to do it but that doesn't mean i always get it right. I've done some of them as many as 3 times. After that they're too raggy to use from all the ripit-ripit .

    ahem ... dull pointed peeps?

I BEG your pardon, oh Dearest Chicken Girl

we are all as sharp as the next tack in the box. we simply be refuse to be bound up in the straight-jacket of tradition. we are ahead of our time.

WE have discovered what will surely be the wave and rage of quilting in the 22d century: quilts without a single connecting seam and without a point to be found. if you don't like the colors, they will come with special glasses that change the colors to whatever you like best. not need to re-audition, no ripit-ripit-reassemble. (and if it still doesn't look right, find the secret stash of pills sewn into the pocket on the back. take 2 and poof! instant mastepiece!)

so there. dull indeed. you just need to catch up to the rest of us. harumph!

P.S. you owe me two teddy bears and a box of Godiva truffles

Dang, was going to send you a teddy bear (cause I KNOW you're working on sending mine, right?) but can't remember how to put an image in this format.

Oh, well, am I to late to find out what all these beautiful blocks are about? I've loved looking at the pics, y'all do such wonderful beautiful work. Can you share your tips more???

I'm glad to be back, I've missed y'all!! But don't let me spend the whole day on the board, I have seeds to plant, the quilt to finish cutting out when my mom had the heart attack (it's still all over the kitchen table...sigh) and a house to clean. But this place draws me like a magnet! Someone reach out and turn my dial up off??

wash the bear and pick the lint off the kisses before you put them in the mail and you have a deal.
