I know I'm alittle ahead but I went ahead and made the Arrows Head block. I'm glad I started early so I can experiment with it til I get it right. My points don't look as good as the block I made for March. Plus it came out 11 1/2 inch square. That SCANT 1/4 inch seam ya'll talk about I think is more like 4 threads in stead of two. Directions didn't always tell you which way to press seams so mines a bit bumpy in spots. I'm not giving up tho, I'll try it again. But not today, I'm abit upset with myself so I'm going to go eat some donuts. Here's a partial pic (from my scanner). Comments are welcomed if anyone can tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.

the block is beautiful. the fabrics and colors are fabulous. your workmanship is so much better than you've given yourself credit for. put a 1/2" border around it and, whaddya know? a 12.5" block. just like you planned it. that's your story and i'm stickin' to it.

if you tried to submit the photo itself, i'm pretty sure the reason it didn't work for you is that it was too big. the word document was ha-uuuuuuuuuuuuge. LOL
i separated the photo file from the word document, then opened it using a photo editing program (free programs usually come with photo quality printers and/or digital cameras. i've never looked but i'll bet there are also gazillions you can get for free over the internet.) I didn't cut away any of the image. Debbie was just brave enough to send a super-closeup, so the whole block wasn't visible. i'm hoping she'll send me one that shows it in all its glory.
i made it smaller and more compact by compressing it. i won't bore you with the steps involved because each program does it differently. if you compare the file size of the compressed photo to that of the copy in the word document, you'll see what a difference a few little clicks can make.
I'm glad Debbie gave me permission to show this to all of you. i would redecorate a whole room to go with a quilt like this block could grow into. (I think Tim is going to be very envious. hee hee hee) :-)
