Arrgh - just found out about a baby shower for tomorrow!
Nothing like finding out about a baby shower less than 24 hours before the event!!!! I just got an email from a lady at church. They're doing a baby shower tomorrow for one of the three boys that are coming this summer at church. Thankfully one of the quilts I'm working on for the trio is a perfect match for the theme :-). Now I just need to quilt it (was just planning stitch 'n' the ditch & X's in the blocks - so nothing fancy) and bind it tonight. So bye-bye computer land until sometime after the shower tomorrow! (unless, of course, I get it done in plenty of time to jump on here and share pics before the shower ;-p).

Yeah, I'm guilty of "wishful thinking" too! LOL. Good luck, and take a deep breath! Do a FMQ loopy loop all over, it would probably be faster, just remember (as everyone has told us lately, slow around the loops) and you will do just fine.

On youtube Missouri Star Quilt Company has a video for a self-binding baby blanket and it literally can be made in 30 minutes if you already have your fabric. And it is darling. It will be my next baby quilt.

I made that last week and it really is adorable. It would make such a nice shower gift. Quick and Easy.

I was just wonderful, do you seasoned quilters out there have a few spare quilts - baby boy, baby girl, comfort lap quilts around, just in case?
Sometimes things cropped up, and you want to gift a comfort quilt, but you have all the materials, just not enough time!

Yeah - I'm done with the quilt! I had all the quilting done and binding made (using the faux piped binding method) last night (did have to make a quick run to the Walmart across the street to get a matching thread for one of the colors :-( - not my preferred place to shop for anything, but after 9 when the quilt is needed the next day, Walmart will do for thread. However I was way too tired to even attempt to pin the binding to the quilt, so I slept some and got the binding done this morning. It's labeled and taking a run through the washer/dryer - It will be done just in time for me to leave. I have to stop by some place and pick up a little bit bigger gift bag :-(.
I guess that means I need to get finishing on the quilts for the other two babies coming this summer. Those tops, like this one was, are done and ready to quilt. Since this one's shower is this weekend, I know I'll need the other two pretty soon. Then I have a break until October, but at least 1 baby is coming in October, November, December, and January at our church. Let's just say our nurseries are well stocked, lol.
