I don't allow drink or food around the computer or the sewing for that very reason... stuff happens and if you follow simple rules like that, you have fewer "life happenings"

Oh that would have made me want to cry too, but I'm so glad you handled the way you did. Give that child a big hug and assure her that it was an accident. New rules for sewing room would be a drink that has a lid on tight, and only drink from it AWAY from the cutting or sewing tables.

Oh I feel so bad for you. Can you salvage the blocks out of the garbage and, as some others have suggested, try to soak the tea out of them. If it doesn't come out, is this a quilt that could be tea dyed to look old? You held your scream in very well. Give the girl a hug and show her how to get the tea out of the blocks.
