I know Art Quilts have been talked about on Quilting Board before. How many of you actually do art quilts and what inspires you to do the art quilts you do?
I was just recently accepted into the Mississippi Craftsmans Guild for quilting in which I chose to do art quilts/ contemporary quilts since there are "several traditional quilters" in the guild already.

My mother and sister are the artists. However, I made this [designed in EQ] from a picture of my mother's wallpaper. Does that count?

I am still in the beginner stages so am not ready to branch out this far...but I think art quilts can be very beautiful and/or thought provoking.
