I do not knit or crochet. Is there a certain size requested for ICU blankets? And where would I take them?
I am not in a quild or any sew groups. The group here that was doing pillowcases and donating, is having last sew day tomorrow. The cordinator can no longer get fabric donations, and she is on limited income and cannot buy fabrics.
Is there some place that we could get fabric donated to the group. Would love to keep sewing, we have the sewers,
just not the fabric or revenue. Thanks.

I always try to make equal boys and girls quilts for all the age groups but I'm wondering are there more boys being born these days than girls??? I know it's never been that way but I was just curious as to the ratio these days? I try and make primary colors for the sashes and borders so they could be more gender neutral but I could favor more boys quilts in the future.

I loved your touching story about the latest young man to enter the world and he had a snugly warm hat to greet him.

I think this happens because there tends to be more cute baby fabric for girls than boys. Seems when I make boy baby quilts for family members I really have to search for something I like. As far as hats go why can't people make white or yellow ones so that could go for either sex?

This is one of those no-brainers that we do not think about. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

This is very true. I do this for our hospital and when they have a run on boys its hard to keep up with the blue yellow or green. Thanks for the reminder.

Check with someone in the hospital or go to Volunteer office and see what they have.

I have been gathering up more boy fabric for teen boys for the Downy project. I have so far, John Deer fabric, wildlife, baseball, football, animals of all kinds, ventage cars, airplanes etc.

I have two boys and I tend to make boy stuff. Last year 3 of the five quilts were "boy".
