I'm not sure when you were in Appleton but they have two newer shops. One is called Keep me in stitches, the other is Going to Pieces.

There is a really nice new quilt shop that opened two weeks ago in Plover, WI. It is called Antoinette's Quilt Shop at 3046 Village Park Drive, near Menard's. The owner is very nice, and the people who work there are lovely. The store has an amazing collection of batiks. It is worth stopping by, as long as you are going to Wisconsin Rapids and can take Hwy. 45 right into Plover and right by the quilt shop.

Appleton has many quilt shops. My son lives there, and he drives my sister and I around to all the shops, when we visit. Just check Appleton for shops online.

I love the Cotton Thimble. It is a wonderful store with lots and lots of fabric and some great sales.

If you are in Madison, Waunakee is just out side of it and there is a great quilt shop there. If you pass through Baraboo , the Sewing Room is small but wonderful. If you get to Richland Center, there are two, one in town and one on Hwy 14, both very different fabrics from each other.

You will have a great time

If you are in Madison, go to Sun Praire to JJ Stitches. That is east of Madion.
West of Madison go to Waunakee to the Mill House (can't remember exact name now.)

If you ever get over to the western side of the state - Olive Juice Quilts in Onalaska, River Road Quilt Shop in La Crosse (these are my two LQS - friendly and fun!) and there's Quilt Basket & Creations in Viroqua. I've been to most of the ones listed - there's also one in Spring Green that's not too far from Waunakee that'd be worth checking out if you're in the area.
