I do use the Aunt Becky when hand quilting. It helps me make small, consistent stitched.

I love love love my Aunt Becky. I just finished my first ever hand quilted quilt. I spent about 30 minutes using YouTube and the Aunt Becky tool to teach myself and was able to quilt 8 stitches to the inch. Good enough for me!! I have never quilted anything before so I didn't have any learned techniques to overcome.

However-- you must get the right thimble. I tried using different thimbles and found I couldn't do it.

I found two places online to buy one. $4 - $6 dollars. And I was able to get the thimble from Amazon.

Try thrift stores for spoons. Usually I see quite a bit there.
