ok so i heard you all were satisfied with the simpicity bias tape maker---so i got one via internet --will not work in aussie without a transformer which would cost x3 the price of the bias maker!!!!!!!!!! not to be beaten i scored a transformer via e bay for $50 made the bias tape maker expensive but works ---i am also happy being able to make the tape with any fabric soo easily--- now question ------ the tip called--2 1/2 QUILTBINDING TIP [#881970] does the fabric only have the one fold ie like we would make for a binding or does it make a bias strip with 2 folded edges????

Sorry don't have one but didn't you get a book with it? I bet you could also google it and find out that way. Good Luck

    Wow! What a story! lol

I have this, too. The quilt binding tip takes a 2.5" strip and folds it in half - with one fold - just like you would with the iron.

I have this tip and love it. I also don't join the strips until after they are run thru the machine. I was really struggling with my machine handling the seams so this works so much better for me. Since the strips are short I don't bother rolling them first. Do not seem to have a problem guiding the fabric straight.
