    Well, let's try this again. I just lost the first reply I thought I'd posted! I would definitely purchase C because of the length of the fabric. I would NOT trim up or straighten the fabric. My first step would be to wash and dry and iron the fabric, and then put it in my stash. My reasoning is this -- if I decided to use the fabric for binding, perhaps, then the extra length saves time in cutting the binding. I always cut my binding lengthwise of the grain (unless it has rounded corners) so the extra length is desirable. If the fabric was purchased at a yard sale, second-hand store, or anything other than a retail fabric store, the washer is the first destination. I just don't put unwashed fabric in my stash!
