    some of the prefolds i made..i get a dozen,and split them up for showers..6 for a shower!

    just dressed them up a little with some 30's scraps. quick

    This is how I use up my old, worn out towels. I use them for the batting.

    Unless someone is bound and determined that burp will never touch them, a front and back of flannel is enough.

    I use batting. I save my leftover batting for such things. This works just fine.

    I make a pieced flannel crib quilt for each baby and get an extra yard of a couple of the fabrics for burp clothes. I cut the extra like fat quarters. Envelope 2 different prints together. turn them right side out and stitch close to the edge and then again about 2 inches in from the edge using a decorative stitch. They're always the hit of the baby shower.

    I find a nice used towel, like at Goodwill, wash it, then cut it up. I put the toweling on one side and flannel on the other. No quilting in between, just top-stiching or zig-zag around the edges. They look great and are easy to make!
