I have three baby quilts in my near future. Two must be finished by Christmas and the mothers are all family and I don't want to duplicate patterns. Any ideas for quick quilts that do not involve a printed panel. These moms know quilts and I would like to give them a patched quilt.

I saw a pattern called "Hugs and Kisses" on a site some where this fall. Shame on me I did not bookmark it. It looked like "x's" and "o's". Was this from any of you? I thought that might be a good pattern for one of these sweet new ones.

I just made a string quilt in X's & O's. I've also seen the X-quisite called Hugs & Kisses. Both are easy to make. I think I have pictures of my X-quisite blocks laid out but I haven't made a top with them yet.

Irish Chain done in baby colors is also a very easy pattern. Warm Wishes is another. 9 patch and snowball is also fast.

Strip quilts - with pre-cut fabric strips usually work up FAST.

Maybe a rail fence? Or log cabin?
