Baby Quilt Made from Dresses?
#1
I have some baby dresses that are from the turn of the century. I have been thinking about what to do with them when I saw someone had made a quilt using their baby's clothing. (See pic below.) Should I use them to make a quilt or should I do something else with them? I found them at a yard sale so it's not like they're very sentimental to me. Your suggestions would be appreciated? :)

I think that is what I would do. I have several items that my boys wore and that will be what I can do with them. My sons have adopted their children and dont' believe I will get babies. The clothes will only mean something to me.

Without sentimental attachment I say "go for it";on the other hand I have two totes full of hand smocked clothes that I made for my youngest girl...since before she was born....I had decided I would take these clothes and make her a quilt. When we started pulling these clothes out and looking at them and talking about the occasions they represented, I decided I just can't cut them up! She is almost 30, not married, and doesn't look like there are babies in the future, I'm just going to keep them and give them to her for whatever. There are several items that were never completed as clothes, only the smocked parts, so I can easily cut them apart to incorporate in a quilt.
