Maybe trim panel, adding a 1 inch sashing of a color from pinwheels, add a sashing 1 1/2 of white and then your pinwheels. Use white again in outer border. Beautiful little baby girl baby quilt!

This was my thought too. I like the colors together. Adding a narrow border around the applique would also work in addition to the quilting.

This is what I was thinking. Pinwheels seem to overwhelm the lovely ballerina.

Do you have any more of the stripe material (the one in the bottom pinwheel)? I would use one of your pinks (in your 2nd photo) as border, then a border of the stripe w/the stripe going horizonally, continue adding borders of your pinks, ending with the stripe as your binding. I would not use the yellow dot. Lay it out to see how that looks. The color in your pinwheels is showing as beige or something ... which IMHO contrasts too much with the white panel.

Good luck! The ballerina is so cute.
