    Default Baby/ toddler quilt.

I purchased this pack of jelly rolls to make a quilt to go with the book. I made the book gave it away and still have these. Do any of you have any ideas for a quilt. I. Don't mind buying background fabric and only using some of the lengths .( approx 43)
I don't want to do anything like a jelly roll race in stripes.

First, I would go looking thru Google Images to see what pattern you would like to make.

This quilt was just posted under Links:

And then there is the simple Chevron quilt. I made this from 3.5" flannel strips but am planning to make one with Jelly strips. Can't get the layout where the tips of the blocks aren't cut off so I will just have to wing it as I go.

Chevrons are always cute for babies. I also am finishing an Irish Chain. I did an extended chain with cornerstone blocks, but you could do a basic Irish Chain & put a quilting motif in the blocks instead of applique.

Twisted Irish Chain is also lots of fun (http://www.craftsy.com/search?query=...=&categoryUrl=).

Another idea that I love is to do a fused applique quilt with letter of Baby's first name. I don't have an example, but was thinking about this after seeing this arrow quilt by Tula Pink. You just fuse Pellon 805 to the background fabric in the shape of the letter & then pile on scraps and appli-quilt. Super fast, super fun!

I would just make 4 or 9 patches & alternate them with a plain block.

I think Bonnie Henter has a oattern called Strip Twist? Anyway you sew strips together to make a square then cut the square into triangles and rearrange the pieces? Cute pattern just look through her Quiltville free pattern tab.

A rail fence or a basket weave. would be nice. I am sure you will find the perfect pattern for it.

the 4 or 9 patches would look good with a snowball block.
