I am looking at a 3-4 yr old Babylock Ellure on Craigslist. She wants $400 firm. It comes with all it originally did...this is not the Ellure Plus just the Ellure..does it sound like a good deal? She states she has used it very little as she has other machines and she is just cleaning house. Any thoughts? thanks

I have a BabyLock Ellure sewing/embroidery machine and love it. I didn't know there was a Plus. Mine is about eight years old, I suppose that the names have changed over the years. Don't know if it's a good price but I love my machine.

Sounds about right to me. I bought my Ellure (used, on ebay) about a year and a half ago for $600, it came with lots of stuff and is still going strong.

Just use the usual common sense personal safety precautions and test drive the heck outta it.

Hello, I purchased an Ellure (not Plus) from Craigslist. If you haven't purchased it yet, go try it out and be ready to buy. I love mine. It came with a number of extras and I paid $700. Well worth the money. I went to the quilt shop prior to trying it out and they told me there isn't much different in the Ellure and Ellure Plus in capabilities and price so the quilt shop doesn't even carry the Ellure. The sale price for the Ellure Plus right now is $1711.99 with tax. The machine I got was only a few years old and barely used. The lady got sick and then died a year ago. So it is pretty much brand new. This would make up for the extra $300 I paid verses what you are pricing. My only thing is I would like to have a class to learn how to use it. Best wishes, hope you get it and enjoy it. Love in Christ, Carmen
