I was disappointed to see that Babylock has discontinued it's Quilters Choice Pro machine. I have one of these machines and really like it. I wonder if the market for a straight stitch machine just isn't there anymore and that's why it's a thing of the past.

I just purchased the Melody which the dealer told me was virtually the same machine, the company went to all girls names for all the models. And I am thrilled with this machine!!

The new name for the straight stitch Quilters Choice Pro is Jane. The Melody replaced the Quilters Choice. Both are great Machines.

Melinda - thanks so much for the info. A friend of mine has decided that she wants a Quilter's Choice Pro and was disappointed that it wasn't on their site anymore. I've sent her the info on Jane and I'm sure she'll be very happy! I'm almost inclined to buy myself another just to have a spare for that time (hopefully not in the near future) when mine goes south. I like this machine that much!

Can this machine be put on the grace quilting frame? Does anyone know the price of this machine?

Yes, I was told by my Babylock dealer that the Jane can go on the Grace frame. I just purchased mine a month ago and paid $1107 which includes tax. It is a straight stitch machine with an almost 9" throat and front bobbin. Babylock.com has the info. If interested you can google Babylock dealers for your zip code. Loving mine so far!

It is the exact same machine as the Brother 1500, which I have(800.00). I love my machine. I wonder if they are going to disco the Brother version also?

    Hi,

Babylock changed a good majority of their machines names, I have a Symphony which was the Espire, and I know the Decorator's Choice is now the Elizabeth. My Ellure and Elegante2 are still going by their orginal names for now, lol.
I suppose they did it just to get attention to them or something, who knows!
    I love my machines........enjoy!
