Back from Pigeon Forge Quiltfest
#11
Well, I missed it again this year. I guess I am going to learn to play secretary to myself and start posting little notes so DH and I can plan a road trip to PF. DD tells me there is a way to make reminders to myself on this computer, but has never taught me how to access it. Maybe soon.....

I just got back also. Went with 3 quilting friends, laughed, ate, and quilted into wee hours of the morning!!! It was so much fun!!! We somehow were like a homing 'Pigeon' (get it?) and found LOTS of quilt shops within a short distance. That was the ONLY shopping we did - not the outlet malls. And the quilt show itself was maybe the best I've seen!! We are doing quilt blocks of houses for our block of the month in our Guild - the display of theirs was.inspirational. Then their Pizza Box challenge was so unique (for us anyway). The four of us are trying it before we present it to the Guild next year. Best time ever!!!!

Loved it! I've been going for a few years now and I would say the Leconte Center was wonderful. It was so big and spacious, never once felt crowded. Also, some wonderful quilt shops in the area. I plan my spring vacation around the Mountain Quiltfest.

This was my 5th or 6th quiltfest. This is one show I truly enjoy. Never too crowded to move around, plenty of room in the booths the shop them, and best of all, all the little quilting shops (not the outlets) that are between my home and there. If the good Lord is willing, my sisters and I will be back next year.
