    Default Background Quilting Question

I am quilting the background of my blue horse quilt. I am going to do the background in vertical lines.

Should the lines be made with a foot, making them very precise, or free motion, following drawn lines, but making them look more organic?

    Almost finished!

    Thanks for your comments, Watson

If you like the precision and you can accomplish it do that...but if you might wobble do organic.

I did this fundraiser and started the lines without a guide. I thought I was making a mistake, but when it was done, I thought it looked good.

That does look good and is pretty much what I'm going for. Did you do this with a foot or free motion?

You could do it either way to get that look, but if I were doing the quilting I'd do FMQ so I could do it without having to turn the quilt.

I am agreeing with Rob.....like the idea of not having to turn the quilt.
