I have bought 15 yards at a time. A soft off white, a tonal tan, and a subtle pattern . I know some Quilters prefer it to really match but you get a good deal buying that much from Fabric.com. At least I did several years ago. I never was disappointed in the backing I bought. Enjoy!

I try to use wide backing fabric that goes with the main color of the top. If not I may use it anyway.

If I am making a Scrap quilt I do not try to match, however on a controlled quilt I do try to match or use muslin.
