Susie, finding someone to work on it was a big concern for me. I was told at my local Joann Fabrics that they do not work on all Singer machines and I would have assumed they did since they sell them. I'm happy with the little Baby Lock Zest for $99. I've been using it and it was well worth the money. Plus, the dealer I bought it from will service it when needed.

Donna - best of luck with your new machine!! Sounds like you are a happy "camper".

The price for the Pfaff was a good price (I am a died in the wool Pfaff gal) but I too would have walked away from the deal - not sure I would have even trusted them on the real condition of the machine if they couldn't give you a straight answer on the price.
