Does anyone have a pattern that uses old, large, bandana handerchiefs?

Bookmarked this. I would love to see a pattern as well. I love bandanas and I think a quilt using them would be awesome.

I am using them in a runner with train themed fabric for my Step Dad - avid train collector.

They are cute with denim squares for a quilt.

use caustion here ladies.... I made a bandana /denim quilt... and ALL bandana's are NOT Square.... I sewed all mine in to strips and then was goign to sew the strips together.... only some of the strips were sewn on the other edges....thus shorter... I just assumed that all bandanas were sq.. there not... Project turned out cute, but I had to do some ripping... sigh

I'd like to do a denim threadcatcher and use a red bandana fabric for the lining. Anything done with denim could use bandanas with it.

No they are not square and they are a thinner fabric. When I was a teen in the 70's I made a top from them. They were set on point one for the front, one for the back and one for each sleeve. It was really cute when it was finished but boy was it hard to get together. That would be really cute in the thread catcher though.
