Barefoot... hate wearing shoes in the house.... and I sew barefoot more comfortable and then can feel the pedal better as well

I feel much more in control with my shoe off when I'm quilting. Pretty much run around the house in bare feet or stocking feet as it just feels better. Plus I'm having a big time problem with my sense of balance and I feel more in control without shoes.

who wears shoes in the shouse? I'm diabetic, too, and really have to be careful, but I take my shoes off the minute I get in the house.

Me, too. My feet don't like them. I wear sandals year round. Besides, that keeps the dirt and stuff outside.

When the foot is on the presser foot it's going to be bare naked. I can play that slipper-on/slipper-off game all day if I need to.

I too enjoy sewing barefoot and love your idea of wrapping your foot pedal in fleece so it makes it comfortable . I am always cold so in the winter I do sew with slippers but for some reason I can't sew with shoes. When I go away on a quilt retreat I always take slippers with me.
