I have sewn many Bargello by various authors in the years I have been quilting. I haven't ever done one where the width of the fabric strips cut are a different width. The changes in a Bargello are usually from the width of the sub cut from the sewn strips. Bargello were originally done on needlepoint during the Elizabethan time in England. That stitch length was also constant.

I would think it would have to be a pattern where the points didn't have to match, because they wouldn't.
