I'm making one like this. sort of looks woven but it's done the same as show above but with fabric and two strips to make them all square. Forest Bricks may be the name.

Did you have a printed pattern or is this a "design idea" of your own?

Did you do the design as in what I just saw on Honey Bear Lane site? If so, she used a solid between to break up the jelly roll, did you? It will definitely look very raggy... All those raw edges!!!!!!!! IMHO.......more work than the final thing is worth!!!!!!

Moda has a wonderful pattern called "Simply Woven Quilt" By Jessica Kelly that I love...thinking I might make it as a present for someone for next year!

I've made a pattern called Basket Case that I think was a Kluck,Kluck design that comes out looking woven. It calls for a jelly roll although I just cut strips.

I love the look of this quilt! Simply woven....but I'm wondering can it be done scrappy? Using cuts from scrap pile with a constant solid, as long as the scrap piece is the "right" size?

simply woven looks great scrappy. Just remember, you need strips instead of scraps but a strip can be as small as 13" x 2 1/2"

I saw a video on YouTube where the lady who was making the woven quilt used wonder under, she ironed it on to fat quarter's then cut strip but not completely (leaving the top attached) then she wove the strip in the in and out fashion, it was a wall hanging turned out nice but to much work for me. BTW welcome to the board.
