I love 505. I, too, use a mask because I have asthma. It cleans up with soap & warm water. When it's nice outside I spray there. If not I use a big sheet for overspray. The last king size quilt i made was much easier to handle with the spray. I still used some strategically placed pins. Good luck.

My word of caution is to not over spray. That is easy to do. Just sprits it about. You want a light coating, not saturation of the fabric. Like I said that can be easier said than done at least for me.
If too much is sprayed you do get gummy needles, and the saturation can distort your fabric and glue it in place when it distorts. I may be the only dummy with this issue, but I don't want anyone else having the fits I have had.
Good Luck.
Oh, and if you over spray and get it on your wood floors, expect the dog and cat fur to collect in the shape of the quilt you just spray basted like a picture frame. Ask me how I know??!

I use 505 and don't notice any fumes at all.
Do not try KK100 or KK2000 as both have high fumes. I have to spray them outside when I use them, and I don't even have asthma.
